About Baek Won Kil

Baek Won Kil was an actor and theater director. He directed such plays as Jump and Break Out. He appeared in the MBC drama Soldier and the KBS2 drama Dream High, as well as the films City Of Fathers and The Yellow Sea.

Baek Won Kil was found dead on August 16.

He had been living alone in Yangyang for about three months. He liked to fish with a fish tank in Namdaecheon. A little after midnight on August 16, the Gangwon-do Fire Department started a search after receiving a call from Baek Won Gil′s junior, who said that the actor hadn′t returned to his home after leaving it that day.

A few hours later at about 9:00 a.m., his body was found in the waters of Namdaecheon. Police launched an investigation, assuming that he drowned after he slipped while setting his fish tank into place. The actor′s body was laid down in a funeral hall in Sokcho, but moved to Seoul according to the family′s wishes.--Source
