The Korean Broadcasting System (한국방송공사) is one of three major South Korean television networks. It is a state-owned network and is famous for nightly newscasts and lavish historical dramas. KBS has two television channels (KBS1 and KBS2). KBS also owned five satellite and cable television channels: KBS Prime, KBS Drama, KBS N Sports, KBS Joy and KBS Kids. These channels are managed and operated by KBS N, a subsidiary company of KBS.
