Shocked by Masami’s turning his back on their marriage, Haruka goes to Osaka and wanders around the city. Yuko takes her daughter to her apartment and consoles Haruka with Asuka. Returning to Yufuin, Haruka goes back to her work at the tourism association, trying not to be bothered by people’s gossip about her. Her broken heart is gradually healed by the encouragement of the people around her. In December, her birthday comes—the day when her wedding ceremony with Masami was supposed to be held.
