Talk:Dondo Bare
From DramaWiki
Why did this get changed to Dondo Bare? The NHK site (http://www3.nhk.or.jp/drama/html_news_dondo.html) consistently uses "hare," and there's even an old page (http://www.nhk.or.jp/morioka/asadora/dondohare.htm) that's named "dondohare." Kidmigz 17:43, 25 Mar 2007 (CDT)
- NHK actually switched to "Bare" because it goes along with the Iwate dialect. With that, both the NHK World Premium article (http://www.nhk-jn.co.jp/wp/best_e_next.htm) and the NHK President's Spring address (http://www.nhk.or.jp/pr/english/toptalk/soukyoku_e/s_e0604.htm) refer to the show as "Dondo Bare". - Ok, thanks for the clarification! Kidmigz 18:15, 25 Mar 2007 (CDT)
- I realize that this discussion is probably over but... In the show itself I hear "Dondo Hare" being used all the time (at the end of each episode, in the special etc). I think that we should at least mention the alternative title somewhere in the article. --Gryzze 04:31, 1 May 2007 (CDT)
