Talk:Romance (MBC)
From DramaWiki
Synopsis is not written from a NPOV
I was looking through Romance's wiki page (I was curious about the series) and I have a complaint. Instead of having people say things like 'Kim Yoo Mi is pretty good, given her character's development and the way her problems come into play. But Jung Sung Hwan is terrible. He's not able...' in the summary section, how about just a synopsis (a brief summary about what the story's about?) No one wants to look at a page just to be spoiled if they don't know anything about the series.
npov Also, the synopsis shouldn't have to have a person's personal beliefs about a show written all over it. It really is for the audience to decide, not to have it stated so formally as if it was a fact. --Kikari 01:03, 30 Aug 2005 (EDT)
- You're right. The current synopsis is more a review than a short summary. Btw, the original author gave credit to Endless_love4ever for the synopsis. But after a quick google investigation it turned out to be a shortened version of the review from Koreanfilm.org for which already a link existed at the bottom of the wiki page.
- Including reviews (written by DramaWiki editors themselves!) is allowed when they are added in a separate Review section. However, a synopsis (or short summary) should be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV) and should contain no spoilers. Because the review doesn't seem to be written by any of our users it shouldn't be included into the wiki page. So, I'll replace the synopsis by an old synopsis by MBC. --MoerkJ 18:22, 30 Aug 2005 (EDT)
