Synopsis

Railroad investigator Hanamura Noriko of the Metropolitan Police Investigation Team has a chance reunion with junior high classmate, Mizutani Mika. Noriko is concerned about station manager, Nogawa Ichiro, who left work early because of his cold. Noriko is uncomfortable with Mika, because even though she is reminiscing on the old days, she is also a magazine reporter.

The next day Nogawa comes to work late because of his cold. That morning when the train for Izukyu Resort 21 arrives at Atami Station with body of hostess Tomoko is found. Nogawa is the prime suspect, and is kept has a material witness. Authorities are going by the theory that Nogawa left work and then killed Tomoko. The hotel's video camera footage shows Nogawa visiting Tomoko's hotel room. However, during cross-examination it is stated that he went home early because of his cold. Nogawa is put under surveillance.

Noriko believes Nogawa is innocent, and starts his own investigation.
