From DramaWiki

quashlo, thanks a lot for your effort in completing the drama articles.:) it really makes a lot of difference if we have a nihonggo speaking editor. --- Marienella 16:59, 10 Jul 2007

Just trying to help out where I can. :) --- Quashlo 04:11, 10 Jul 2007 (CDT)
I agree with Marienella (who has always done a great job editing), I really appreciate the attention your giving to tanpatsu articles, it's great to see those pages becoming complete, thanks. --Pineapple 11:04, 10 Jul 2007 (CDT)

ありがとう。頑張りまぁす! :) --- Quashlo 10:14, 11 Jul 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for your additions to the Shikaku Ukeoinin article. --Gryzze 20:45, 30 Jul 2007 (CDT)

No problem. I just finished the long (1.5 hr!) premiere, and I'll be sticking with it the rest of the season, updating as I go. I guess I'm having a mini-jidaigeki boom, what with this and Tsukikage Hyougo... --- Quashlo 21:04, 30 Jul 2007 (CDT)

Romanization of artist names

I noticed that you prefer the use of "Kouta" over "Kota". If your basis is purely on the idea that the artist's official site spells it as "Kouta" (and you're correct on this - we should be using the spelling according to the official site), maybe we can finally do the same thing for Itoh Misaki. I've been waiting for someone to catch this, as her official site spells it as "Ito Misaki". Groink 03:16, 17 Aug 2007 (CDT)

i agree that we should follow the romanization in the artist's official website, thus i moved the article to Ito Misaki.Marienella 18:53, 17 Aug 2007

Following me around

Yo! I don't appreciate you following every edit I make. It is looked upon very negatively on Wikipedia - as well as on DramaWiki. You've been doing this the past couple of weeks. We all make romaji mistakes here. But to pick me out of everyone else - and I have proof via the recent changes log - is like sh*tting down my throat. Stop it! Groink 03:23, 31 Oct 2007 (CDT)

Don't take it personally, because I "follow" everybody's edits. I have little time to devote solely to one or two pages, so I just look at the ones that people are already working on. You just happened to do a slew of editing on pages that needed a lot of editing work, so perhaps I "followed" you. If you don't like my edits, then you (or whoever worked on those pages) needs to improve their Romanization skills. I'm not claiming to be an expert on Romanization either, but when I see a name that is clearly wrong, I'd rather fix it than leave it as is. Quashlo 08:16, 31 Oct 2007 (CDT)
I think you should keep your 'following around' habit to a certain limit. Correcting any romaji mistakes is ok and helpful, but to change such trivial things like the capital letters and then, episode 'title' to 'subtitle' does not really put any value. Save your time for other more important editing job rather than these trivial things. It could be exceptional if you are the main editor who taking care the article from the starting. --Natokajun 07:08, 24 May 2008 (CDT)
Then why did you change it from "Subtitle" to "Title" to begin with? If you look at any of the other drama articles, they all say "Subtitle." Japanese Wikipedia says "Subtitle." If you capitalized properly and didn't try to reinvent the wheel unnecessarily, then would we be having this dicussion? And with regards to "value"... I probably do some of the more worthwhile edits for JDrama Wiki out of all the editors here. I already take charge of 5+ drama pages each season, and as one of the few editors who has a decent grasp of the language, I am checking everyone else's Romanization and translations as I go. And don't worry, CHANGE will probably be on my project list for this season, so I'll be sprucing that up. Anyways, I've seen your contributions, and I'm not impressed, so don't talk to me about "value." -- Quashlo 10:47, 24 May 2008 (CDT)

Adding guests

I've noticed when you add guests to articles, you neglect to add the drama into each of the artist articles. Linking is two-way, adding the artists to a TV Show article is only 50-percent of the editing job. In the future please try to add the drama to artist page as well. --Pineapple 12:29, 16 Nov 2007 (CST)

I usually save linking guests until after the series is over when I do a check on every Wikilink in the entry to make sure the link is two-way. Some guests reappear in later episodes, in which case it makes little sense to do two edits when I can just do one edit later. -- Quashlo 21:40, 16 Nov 2007 (CST)

Thanks!!!!!

Thanks so much for cleaning up the romaji mess these past few days. Some history behind the errors.... Back on a dark day of July 15, 2005, User:YT thought it would be a great idea to literally copy the entire JDorama.com database, not realizing that the majority of that database had so many errors. So she created literally HUNDREDS of articles with the incorrect romaji. And as you can see, many of them remain as stubs. Just an FYI for the curious! Groink 00:25, 28 Jan 2008 (CST)

No problem... I'll be scanning through the actor/actress pages the next few days for anything that looks funny. -- Quashlo 00:38, 28 Jan 2008 (CST)

What-Links-Here

"When you make a page, use the "What links here" link on the lefthand side of the page... "

Yikes! I'd just received a 'You did it again...' for formatting linkage for another drama's title that didn't have its own page yet, so i was just being overly cautious @ Natsukumo -- hand't gotten round to running a searchcheck for the page's existence yet. Thanks for the fix, and the What-Links-Here tip! Will use that in future ^^";; -- eiryuu 01.Feb.08
