Don't replace the photo. The current photo fits DramaWiki standards perfectly. We're not looking for fan-like photos. Groink 03:06, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
But that photo is almost over 3 years old. I just replaced it with a recent one that´s also matching the rules. Is that really not possible? I mean, a lot of people update photos and they are accepted. Why not this one? --Ichigo 03:31, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- We do not pay attention to the age of the photo. The problem with your photo is that 1. it is to "pose-ey" and more designed for a fashion publication than a profile, and 2. it shows way too much of the body. We prefer a profile photo, much like what you would see in a passport. We have thousands of out-dated photos of people, but that is because we're very strict on the quality and formatting of our imagery. If a photo is three years old, but we can't find a more recent alternative that fits our guidelines, we choose the older photo. More on this can be found via this article. - I also reverted much of your trivia items. DramaWiki:Style_guide#Fancruft and DramaWiki:Japanese_Artist_Article_Formatting#Trivia.2FNotes_section discusses the issues where an obvious fan of an artist fills an article with too much fancruft. Groink 04:14, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
See, I searched a couple of hours after a photo that matches your guidelines and compared over fifty of different profiles. It´s not that I used a photo "I" liked on first view. If you look for example at Takashima Reiko or Shirota Yuu, then you will see that their photos are similair: White Backround, look directly into the camera and a bit of their upper body. If necessary, I could cut Seto Koji his photo until the "Patriot" part of his pullover and it would fit perfectly too. And, at least, he is recognizable on first few on the updated photo.
I also used Shirota Yuu his profile as template for informations and so I added the points "Hobbies", "Nickname" and "Special Skills". I filled them with informations from Seto Koji his japanese Wiki article. I can see how "Favourite Manga" was against your guideline, but nothing I added contained subjective informatons (POV). - There's absolutely nothing wrong with Reiko's photo. She shows just as much upper body as Koji's current photo. There is actually a problem with Yu's photo, and it should be cropped better to conform. But to cut this argument short, inclusion is not a form an argument one can apply on DramaWiki. What I mean by this is that there are almost 10,000 articles here. We only have a handful of editors who look over these articles. There WILL be infringement, as in Yu's case. So you can't say that it is okay to edit an article a certain way just because you saw one or even ten articles do the same exact thing. Re-phrasing your argument, I would say that the other articles you saw were also infringing on our standards. The two articles I pointed you to earlier is the only thing that matters.
- Now, regarding your edits of Seto Koji's article:
- 1. Karaoke and shopping are not skills.
- 2. Singing is a given skill, since you labeled him as a singer. It is like saying "he's races cars, and by the way he can also drive."
- 3. "Favorite" this and that fringes on fancruft.
- 4. For D-Boys, just say "Jpop group: D-Boys", just ilke in Yu's article. We don't need to know that he's one of the youngest members; that's fancruft.
- 5. His activities are not tracked on DramaWiki. We only cover TV dramas. His activities, such as magazine appearances, TV variety show appearances, among other things are not tracked on DramaWiki. While we're at it, appearances in music videos are not allowed either (you didn't do this, but I thought it should be said since he is a Jpop star.)

The original reason why I edited Koji´s photo was, how said, simply because it´s too old. I got the idea because there are people who complained how he is not recognizable to them when they read his DramaWiki profile. To find a better photo, I read your guideline first! After these standards I searched through Koji´s photos and found a picture that´s:
- 1. in .jpg format
- 2. not too large
- 3. is sharp and in-focus
- 4. the entire head, along with the full face is viewable
- 5. I cropped the image to focus on his face (when it´s not enough, it can be cropped some more to show even less of his upper body)
- 6. a photo that´s not "posey" because the head isn´t tilted too far and no hands are on the face
- 7. no backround that blends in too much to the foreground
- 8. a photo were the person is easily recognizable
after I found said photo, that´s matching all these points, I compared it to photos which were accepted on DramaWiki before, just to make sure that it´s a good photo. I beg your pardon, but I made sure of it and that it´s then not accepted in general and accounted as an too "pose-ey" photo, when it is a rather neutral photo and not different in any way of the kind that´s accepted for many other artists like the ones I linked to (Nagase Tomoya is another example) will just remain unclear to me.
- - Karaoke is not a special skill, that´s why it was listed under "Hobbies"
- - Well, the problem that often emerges is that D-Boys are mistaken with J-Pop Groups of the kind from Johnny Entertainments or Pureboys, when they are only an male Acting-Group. I thought it would make sense to emphasize that.
- - It´s no problem, when it´s not allowed. I only felt before that OhaStar, since it´s an regulair TV show, might have been a noteworthy point in his career.

Re-review your edits. You didn't even use the word "hobby"... Your original edit was *'''Special Skills:''' Karaoke, Shopping. And BTW, shopping is not a hobby. We ALL shop - how do we purchase our underwear!?!?!? Just because we don't get paid for a certain activity does not make it a hobby. We no longer have your uploaded photo, so I can only describe to you what I saw. There was 1/3rd head, and 2/3rd body. That's the problem. Also, his hair covered his face up much more than the current photo. You're continuing to form an argument of inclusion with the Nagase article - I told you we don't recognize inclusion! Five year old kids argue like that! I'm going to say this one more time... Age of the photo does not matter! We are not - I repeat NOT going to have people re-uploading and replacing photos on an annual, semi-annual basis, or whenever he re-does his hair-do. If people cannot recognize the person in the current photo - it isn't recognition that's their issue... it is the issue that they're FANDORKS!!!!! They're upset because he doesn't have his latest hair style. Trust me on this one - if his mother or girlfriend saw this photo, she'll recognize him. That's the last I'll say on this matter. Guest credit format
Hi, I just noticed you added new guests to Yotsuba.... but when you added it in to each artists page you had the format as episode, network, year. It should be Network, year, episode. Please change it accordingly, I have done it already for Seto Koji. Thank you. -- iwaseJEN
- Thank you, I changed the other artists. --Ichigo
