Synopsis
Dai Ke Ke and Li Nan are half siblings who share the same birth mother, Yang Hui Ling. Li Nan is already past the age of 30 while Ke Ke still hangs out aimlessly with a group of artsy youths, thus Hui Ling constantly worries about their future, especially with the issue of marriage. Hui Ling applies a lot of pressure on her children only to have them go against her wishes. Ke Ke ditches the "fu er dai" (2nd generation rich kid) introduced by her mother and marries poor city dreamer boy Xu Hang while Li Nan marries Ye Ying, a girl of his adoptive mother Liu Cui Lan's choosing. Thus two "dual core" families are established, only to realize that the challenges have just begun.
