Episode 55 through 60 (ep55 - 17.6)

Haruka goes back to Yufuin for the first time since she moved to Osaka a year ago. She takes a ferry from Osaka to Beppu, one of the major cities in Oita Prefecture. In Beppu, she happens to hear that Masami’s father Sokichi is heavily drunk at a nightclub and takes him with her to Yufuin. Since Sokichi keeps gripping a bar hostess’s skirt, the hostess ends up coming with them. It turns out for Haruka that the hostess is Nanae, one of Haruka’s childhood friends from Yufuin, and Haruka is pleased to see her again. On the contrary, Nanae leaves without renewing old friendships, saying she hates Yufuin. One night, Haruka goes to Beppu with Masami to meet Nanae. Her visit to the old friend turns into a fight. Trying to persuade Nanae to come back to their hometown, Haruka suggests running a race; if Haruka wins, Nanae has to come back to Yufuin. Meanwhile in Osaka, Kenji asks Yuko to marry him.
