Stub tags on pages with minimal info

I've noticed that you have recently created a great many show pages for older Chinese drama with only minimal information (a title, year, and perhaps one cast member). This is perfectly okay, but pages like this really should be tagged as stubs using the {{cdrama-stub}} tag. This helpful tag alerts other users and editors that the page still needs a lot of additional information. The same applies for cast or crew member's pages with little info as well, using the appropriate tag, such as {{cactor-stub}} or {{cactress-stub}}. Signing your messages

When leaving Talk page messages for other users, it's always a good idea to sign your messages, so the other user can easily see who they're from.

To sign & timestamp a message, just click the button on the Talk page Edit menu that looks like a small x with a squiggle after it. It's just to right of the B and I buttons. Please explain if there is any order of placement of external links?

I have seen several times that moderators change the order of external links. In particular, "MyDramaList" is carried below "Douban". Is it regulated somehow?--Witwood (talk) 20:42, 16 October 2022 (PDT)

The are no hard and fast rules as to the listings of external links and I expect that everyone has their own preferences. As for me, I generally list primary sources first (ie. official broadcast network pages, production company pages, actor's agency profiles, etc.), next more reliable secondary sources like Douban, HanCinema, or even Wikipedia, finally others like MyDramaList or AsianWiki. Sites like MyDramaList or AsianWiki do have a lot of info on them, but nearly all of that info is copied from somewhere else and they seldom cite their sources. --FritzB (talk) 05:23, 17 October 2022 (PDT)

FritzB explains it really well. MyDramaList is a secondary source just like DramaWiki; and while they have extensive info, sometimes I see lots of fake casting news and wrong profile info in there, so I list them after the primary sources. However for Chinese actors and dramas in general, most of the time the only primary source is their official weibo accounts, as there are no production company/broadcast network pages; followed by Baidu Baike (which is moderated by the actors' agency themselves). Douban comes after, as it is one of the largest ratings site. There is also Maoyan if you want to include it. Panwink (talk) 08:47, 17 October 2022 (PDT)

I noticed that you just created a new genre category for Palace dramas. I do not agree with the cancellation

Is series The Love You Give Me i made the replacement of actor Wang Kun with actress Wang Kun (actress), but you canceled my correction by arguing "same name doesnt mean same person. if u watched the drama u would know its not the same person". Except I was just watching this series. And this actress is playing in it.

I found two pages of the same actor

I found two pages of the same actor: Lu Zhong and Lu Zhong (actor). In the help, I did not find the procedure for merging two pages. I can transfer everything from one page to another, but I would like to avoid mistakes. Suddenly, there are rules governing such a procedure.

Well, if you bothered to do some research or even know basic Chinese, you will realise that the name "Yao Niang" in Detective Husband I've Never Met is a female character and she appears in 20:49. And for First Love Again, the drama was filmed in 2020 and the actor you said was pronounced DEAD in 2018. So tell me is it his spirit filming it? Name of the Baike

I've been wanting to ask for a long time, why do moderators correct the spelling "Baike Baidu" to "Baidu Baike" in the "External Links" section?

Fish Leong - not actress?

Perhaps episodic roles do not make an actor out of a person, but I have come across such "actors" who have nothing but episodic roles. Yes, there are only a few of them, but in the credits they are indicated precisely as actors. Hence the question arises - who are they if not actors? Decorations?

Uh I have no idea what you are saying because it sounds convoluted. But someone with only cameos aren't an actor. Many singers, producers, directors etc make guest appearances but are not labelled as actors. For more questions on Taiwanese entertainment, you can ask tinyloops or whoever. Maybe she/he can find more works of Fish Leong that shows that she has taken on bigger roles than a cameo.

Oh my bad, didn't know English was not your native language. You can look at Wikipedia [5]. 客串 = cameo appearance. 配音 = dubbing. I guess she does qualify as an actress because she has a supporting role in a movie, albeit it was more than ten years ago in 2010. But it should be placed after singer as thats her primary job.

Dashing Youth official translation

I noticed you changed "young masters" back to "gentries." The official translation on youku/youtube/etc. for 北离八公子 is "Eight young masters of Beili," which is why I made the change. "Gantry" is also used incorrectly here, as gantry means "a framework spanning a railroad track or tracks for displaying signals (etc.)", and is a completely separate word from gentry/gentries.
