Synopsis
The once glorious Tang empire has now stepped into its twilight years. Both the wealthy and powerful as well as the citizens are unwilling to admit to their fate, struggling to pursue the unfounded theory of "eternity" , while Wu Xin only seeks death. He meets the mysterious Liu siblings; older sister Qing Luan who is decisive and valiant; and younger brother Xuan Hu who is cowardly and scheming. Wu Xin and Qing Luan team up together to solve a series of mysterious cases, and develop a bond. However, both did not dare confess their true feelings to each other. The arrival of a mysterious letter disrupts their peaceful life. Wu Xin sends the siblings back to their hometown, while he continued toe investigate the truth. However, he keeps finding himself involved in inconceivable and cruel cases. After a series of trials, the culprit was finally revealed - and it is none other than Wu Xin's mortal enemy Bai Liuli. And behind Bai Liuli, lies a secret that allows one to never grow old. In the midst of battle, Wu Xin accidentally discovers a way of seeking death. He wanted to use the method to achieve relieve, but in the last minute decides to give up his plan due to Qing Luan. However, he does not know that the Liu siblings has countless ties to his former friend, Yue Qiluo.
