Ke Lan was at the top of her career when she fell in love with Fernando but flirty Fernando loves Emma and got caught by the media kissing her. She noticed that Artz was really nice to Xiao Bei and was slightly disappointed. Neo-Image organized a yearly friendly competition, Ping Bi, for workers that was due to start. They can find their friends to be models. Qing Kong hid her status and went near Xiao Bei to become her good friend. Artz's twin brother Ya Jun had past away but Artz kept acting as his brother to hide the fact from his grandmother. To make her happy, Xiao Bei agreed to be Ya Jun's girlfriend for a day and it was on that day that Xiao Bei noticed many of Artz's qualities and fell for Artz.<br /> <br /> The Ping Bi finally started and the most likely to be promoted hairstylist Mango, chose to have Zhe Ming who had a huge fight with Xiao Bei. Wong Jing changed many things about the character of Xiaobao including some of the most fundamental morals of the character, yet he still managed to very lovable character despite the changes. The main reason is because Dicky Cheung did such wonderful job of portraying a different Wei Xiaobao than the one that we are used to. Dicky's Xiaobao actually has guts, he is rarely scared throughout the entire story. Also, the story itself tries to justify Xiaobao's amazing luck with women, it tries to make it seem that he deserves these women; a futile task if you ask me, but the story nevertheless attempts this. The story actually has the girls follow Xiaobao around for a long time, during which he goes to hell and back for each one of them at least once, before he finally marries them "in name and in action." In terms of story and plot this adaption is the weakess that TVB has produced, the first Journey to the West also by Dicky Cheung is by far the best one and Journey to the West II is not too bad as well. I too felt Journey to the West III is a bit rush and basically rehashing the story from number 1 & 2 together.<br /> <br /> However, the characters in this adaption is certainly amusing and probably the most fun out of the 3 series and of course all the star power especially the addition of the Twins certainly attracted the younger viewers. I think the first 2 focused more on the morale of the Journey and talks a lot about budism and this one had a lot less...I mean this one had Monkey King in a romance!!
