==Synopsis==
Junichi is a scout recruiting girls for work in night clubs; but in contrast to what he does, he is actually a sentimental person at heart. Nanami, who is a music teacher at a junior high school, wishes that something would happen to change the course of her ordinary life. ==Synopsis==

==Synopsis==
Although 23 year old Yamada Naoko (Nakama Yukie) is a "super" magician, she is continously fired and constantly hounded by her landlady for the rent being late. One day as she is searching through the newspaper for a new job, she comes across an ad of a physics professor, a non-believer of all things magical, offering money to anyone who can prove to him that magic is real. Desperately needing the money, Naoko accepts the challenge, which is how she comes to meet Professor Ueda (Abe Hiroshi). Falling prey to her simple magic tricks, Ueda is impressed, and enlists Naoko to help him uncover the tricks behind a local cult. Their hilarious antics, along with those of police officer Yabe, leads them onto further mysteries, all with tricks needing to be solved in sort of an "X-Files" meets "Scooby-Doo"...

==Synopsis==

To be honest I had no idea what this drama was about prior to watching it, I usually do read a little bit about them before watching them just to get the priorities right. I decided to see this only because I read some people recommended this as a top drama. Almost the entire cast was new to me I only recognized Danta Yasunori from Good Luck and Utsui Ken from Pretty girls, well… and Tsunku of course, yes the man behind Morning Musume. In this drama he is playing a producer or a company CEO. In some way he is representing what he is doing in real life, and to see the scandal sing for Yuichiro is kinda strange/spooky to watch when you know the incident of Abe.

This is a family drama with a bit of comedy, but even if there is a comedy flavor to the story there is a serious drama rolling along too. It's about a popstar Yuichiro (Nagase Tomoya) trying to cope with his private life as a married man to an ordinary girl Sakura (Takeuchi Yuko). In order to keep fans content he decides to live his family life in secret.

The contrast of Yuichiro's popstar attitude and his private true self is at times hilarious to watch. Although I would say that he takes it a bit over the top sometimes, but on the other hand, that's what's funny about it. Another funny thing is that when Sakura and Yuichiro are in the same scene they always wear the same clothes. It's cute in a geeky way, but somehow it works well. Or maybe it's just me blinded by Yuko's charm.

Sakura is living with her father and her 3 sisters, plus 2 grand children from the older sisters. That makes them 7 under one roof and now comes Yuichiro barking in marrying into their family and starts to live with them. The oldest sister Kaede has separated from her husband and are living with her son Ryo. The second sister is Satsuki who works at a radio station and is single. Azusa the third sister works in a food company and shes living with her son Tsutomu 7 years old. And then there is Sakura the youngest sister who is married to the popstar Yuichiro (Takeuchi Yuko). As the story unfolds we get to know there is a brother too who has left the family when Sakura was a child due to an accident, and Sakura don't even remember how he looks like. We also get to understand that their mother is dead.

At first I was astonished by how big the family was but it's pretty neat put together cause after awhile you get familiar with each one of them. There's the oldest sister Kaede, apparently worked as a model one time (or that's what she keeps saying), acting like a child from time to time, but warm at heart, she's a key fixer in many scenes. And there's Satsuki a sharp looking single women taking her work seriously but yearns to move out and be independent from her father. Azusa is the mother of the young Tsutomu represents the young single parent who has a story of her own. Sakura is the daughter that does all the houseworking it seems, I actually don't know why though. She's plain lovely to watch and whatever expression she puts on it's a drop-georgous one. And then we have Yuichiro who displays a really funny outgoing person clearly casted to be a bit stupid but very friendly, longing to be a part of a big family since that's what he missed in his childhood. Many times he gains respect from the others by showing how he really cares for his newfound family.

The story is well put together with Yuichiro struggling to get along with his new family (that of Yuko's) and at the same time dealing and helping each family members private problems as the arise. The biggest sparkles comes from the relation between Yuichiro and Satsuki when he helps her with her work at the radio station. I remember especially the 4th episode when he's virtually saving her job by showing up in a program.

In some way there never seem to be time for dealing with Yuichiro and Sakura together cause they are always busy with other family matters. And there's also the threat to reveal the marriage and true private life of the popstar Yuichiro. But in episode 8 the story turns back the focus to Sakura and her feelings for the whole situation. It's easy to understand how neglected she must feel keeping their life in secret. It's as if she didn't exist at all... and so came the cemetary scene, wow so powerful.

Another scene I liked is the family gathering at the hot springs starting with the intense discussion at the dinner table (very funny, actually reminded me of a Jackie Chan fight, but a verbal version) culminating with the revealing of the scar and linking to the chasing photographer.

I like the song he's singing Hitoribotchi no Haburashi and it's played all over the drama in different versions like piano, guitarr and even violin I think.

From checking Yuko's filmography she seems to be quite busy with alot of drama leads in the past years. I have never seen her in any dramas before, but I like her already. I'm just guessing she must be one of the most promising young stars of today. In some screens I think she recembles Matsu Takako and Hasegawa Kyoko.

==Synopsis==
The story opens after a young female student kills herself by jumping off a balcony. It's soon discovered that she was in fact stabbed, and the room arranged to make it look like a suicide. And so we begin. A few minor details lead Detective Kanzo to suspect that Ryo, an enigmatic chef's assistant, knows more about her death.The two have run into each other by chance a few times, and each time left Kanzo with an uncomfortable feeling. Every clue that is revealed seems to lead to more questions about Ryo, his obsessive girlfriend, his callous and manipulative relations with several women, and about a painful memory from Kanzo's past. Things get more complicated when a powerful love/hate relationship develops between Ryo and Kanza's little sister, the beautiful Yuko (Eri Fukatsu). What exactly is their connection? As the evidence (and body count) rises, Kanza tries desperately to save his sister from Ryo's influence. He's no saint, but is he the Devil Kanza thinks he is? And why? Boy, doesn't that sound exciting? So much so, that I had this laying around for 6 months until neonkinpatsu mentioned a plot twist or two that made me rethink watching. And here we are.

Folks, if you come into this drama thinking you're going to see some run-of-the-mill whodunnit drama with a little love thrown in or something, you'll be wrong. Dead wrong. If your idea of a good time is seeing a few J-idols fall in love, have problems, work everything out, live happily ever after, or if you just like salivating over Takuya Kimura, go watch Long Vacation, Beautiful Life, or Love Generation or something. You'll be happier that way. Trust me.

BUT...

If you're looking for something with realism and bite, that doesn't just poke around at the dark side of the human mind, but wallows in it like a starving pig at a trough, then you just might be ready for Million Stars. Maybe.
This is as close to a life-altering drama as I've seen yet, and I've seen a bunch. Two days later, I'm still thinking about it. Quite simply, this drama is a dark masterpiece, and noone who watches it will come out unaffected...

Like I said before, this drama is a true modern masterpiece. The characters are real, with good and bad sides to all.The burn scars that Ryo and Yuko share to me represent the emotional scars that dwell within us all. The director does an amazing job building tension in every episode, and when the slightly eerie "Mission Impossible" style music starts up at the end of every show, the cliffhanger leaves you jumping as fast as you can to the next episode.
This series is like a speeding train with no brakes. You know there's going to be a crash somewhere, but you've got to keep watching to see where the bodies fall.

After the emotionally draining experience that drama was for me, I'm going to have to rewatch Sweet 18 or something to get my head back on straight. It's that effecting.

Okay, maybe I'll play that scene from ep 11 just one more time first....<br>

==Synopsis==
[[Kimura Takuya]] is the captain and star player of an ice hockey team, who is greatly respected by his teammates. For him, hockey is serious business that fully occupies his mind, while he treats romance as if it were a game.

[[Takeuchi Yuko]] is a typical OL (office lady), and is waiting for her boyfriend to return from studying architecture abroad. At this point in time however, he shows no sign of coming back. One day, Yuko's friends who are determined to find her a new boyfriend, invite her to watch an ice hockey game. There she sees Kimura for the first time.

After the game, Yuko and her friends join the players for a party celebrating their victory. Yuko, however, is not so excited to be there. When she leaves the party, she bumps into Kimura, who was slightly injured from a fight. They exchange e-mail addresses and part.

The sparks of mutual attraction are ignited in a second encounter between Yuko and Kimura, arranged with the help of her friends shortly after a party.

[[Sato Koichi]] has come as a replacement for the team's coach who has been hospitalized. Kimura has a lot of respect for the hospitalized coach. Unfortunately though, he can't stand Sato's way of doing things. Bringing with him a lot of coaching experience from overseas, Sato criticizes the former coach's strategies. Whenever Kimura and Sato see each other, they get into a quarrel; consequently influencing Kimura's behavior during games.

Seeing that his game ended in a brawl, Yuko visits Kimura to comfort him. But he tells her that she is being too friendly with him.

Yuko is hurt, Kimura is irritated, and his teammate Sakaguchi can't stand seeing Kimura like this...

==Synopsis==

==Synopsis==
Kohei Kuryu, played by [[Kimura Takuya]], is a former juvenile delinquent that drops out of junior high and goes on to earn a high school equivalency diploma. After passing the law board exams, Kuryu becomes a prosecutor. Not your typical prosecutor, which is quickly seen through the clothes that he wears, Kuryu possesses quick instincts and a kind of cleverness that only someone raised on the streets could have.

[[Matsu Takako]] plays the role of public prosecutor Maiko Amamiya. The shrewd Amamiya, who has her eyes set on passing the exam to become a deputy prosecutor, tries her best to be noticed by her boss. Kuryu, on the other hand, after earning a reputation for doing top-notch work is transferred to Amamiya's division, and finally opens his eyes to the possibility of promotion. Unfortunately, his unprecedented work behavior abruptly brings things to a halt.

Although earning a reputation as a bad apple, the influence from Kuryu's strong pursuit of justice slowly begins to change things around him. This drama is filled with it all; love, laughs and lots of emotion.

==Synopsis==
Yuji is a twenty year old boxer who makes ends meet by working part-time at a flower shop. Although he works beside her everyday, he hides a deep affection for Kaori, the manager of the shop. Tohko is a sincere and active young woman that works at a local crepe shop. Her initial meeting with Yuji in a video store ends quickly with both ridiculing the other's video selections. However, Tohko notices him training in the park and falls in love with him instantly after seeing this serious and determined side of Yuji. Her persistence brings her to his debut-boxing match, but as she cheers for him she soon realizes his heart belongs to Kaori.

When I initially watched this show, I thought it was pretty good. I mean, it has a plot, develops its characters, and wraps itself up in a nice package. It's better than these American shows that just continuously go on forever without really achieving anything, right? As I watched more drama, this show dropped lower and lower on my list, eventually ending up near the bottom. I'll tell you why.

Toko, played by [[Fukada Kyoko]], is supposed to be this cute girl who goes after the guy she loves. She will do this by following him wherever he goes like a little puppy, breaking into his apartment when he isn't there, and looking at him from afar. Some will think this is cute, while I personally think she's a STALKER. What's so cute about a girl who will break into the guy she like's apartment? What's so cute about a girl who says "Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne. Ne."x100 and just yells her love's name over and over again?

Tokieda Yuji, played by [[Domoto Tsuyoshi]], is an equally annoying character. He loves his boss, but doesn't tell her. Then he tries to use the stalker girl to get over his unrequitted love. Then he goes back to liking the other girl. Then he gets with stalker girl, etc. etc. etc. Makes me think he's just this lonely guy who needs to constantly get some.

The thing that redeems this drama is the fact that the acting is good. I mean, the characters are pretty annoying, but they were meant to be like that. Kyoko and Tsuyoshi did what they were told. I can't imagine anyone who could pull off the stalker puppy role better than Kyoko Fukada. In fact, she plays this same role in other shows, but that's beside the point.

The opening theme song is by Des'ree, not a Japanese singer. The words don't really make a lot of sense, but to the Japanese who don't fully grasp English, it's good, but to us in America, it's only bearable. Even though the song is sung by a British? singer in English, the way the words are set up remind me of something I'd hear on Engrish.com. The ending theme is a typical song by Kinki Kids, so if you like them, which I do, then you'll like the song.

Overall, if you like stories that involve a small animal who stalks a boxer who loves his boss at a flower shop, then this show is for you. If not, well, I probably wouldn't waste my time.
