==Synopsis==
A remake of a 1982 Fuji TV drama starring [[Yakushimaru Hiroko]]. It follows the story of a female high school student who inconceivably becomes the leader of a group of gangsters.

High school student Hoshi Izumi ([[Nagasawa Masami]]) loses her father suddenly in an accident. One day, Sakuma ([[Tsutsumi Shinichi]]), the waka gashira of a small and weak Yakuza gang in Asakusa – the Medaka Gumi – pays Izumi a visit along with the gang members. The death of their former kumicho (Boss) puts Medaka Gumi on the verge of a breakup. Therefore, Sakuma begs Izumi, the former boss's only distant relative left, to succeed to the kumicho position. Izumi is taken by surprise and keeps refusing at first. However, she ends up becoming the 8th kumicho of the Medaka Gumi!

The police tell her that her father's death may possibly be a homicide case. There's also Mayumi ([[Koizumi Kyoko]]), a mysterious woman staring closely at Izumi's father's photograph at his funeral. The situation becomes complicated when the drug-dealing vicious yakuza, Hamaguchi Gumi, comes into the picture as well as Sandaiji Hajime ([[Ogata Ken]]), a politician whose public stance is to eliminate drugs. ==Synopsis==
Megumi Noda, or "Nodame," is a piano student at Momogaoka College of Music. Although she is an extremely talented pianist who can play by ear, she can't read music. She also hates to take a bath or clean her room. For her daily meals, she usually grabs something out of her friend's lunchbox.

Nodame soon falls in love with Momogaoka's top student, Shinichi Chiaki. Born into a musical family, he plays the piano and violin brilliantly. Although his major is piano, he has secret ambitions to become a conductor.

==Synopsis==
After first airing in 2003 as a drama series, and as a two day special in 2004, Dr. Koto is back with all the same cast.

February 2006, Shikina Island. Dr. Koto is riding his bicycle to visit his patients. He is told by one of them that Takehiro-one of the boys who was brought up on this island-has passed the entrance exam for a junior high school in Tokyo. The island is filled with excitement at the wonderful news. Meanwhile, the island's only nurse, Ayaka, is in Tokyo. She said that she is going to attend a rehabilitation seminar. But actually, she has gone to Tokyo for a medical examination...

On the ship heading back to the island, Ayaka encounters Mina, who is having a quarrel with a drunken man. The Shikina Island mayor steps in and accidentally tumbles down a flight of stairs. Ayaka immediately contacts Dr. Koto for instructions and gives the mayor first-aid treatment.

As soon as they arrive on the island, Dr. Koto gets ready for the mayor's operation. Ayaka is surprised when Mina volunteers to help out. She turns out to be the new nurse to be stationed on the island. However, she doesn't even know how to handle an anesthesia machine. At one point, she almost mistakenly hooks up a different fluid for an IV. What's worse, she faints in the middle of the operation. Her rude behavior and attitude has Ayaka at her wit's end. Dr. Koto tries to calm Ayaka down when he receives a phone call from a hospital in Tokyo. He is shocked to hear the results of Ayaka's medical examination and her condition...

The Fuji Television drama, "Dr. Koto's Clinic" takes place on the fictitious Shikina Island. The drama was actually filmed on location on the beautiful Yonaguni—one of the islands in the Yaeyama island chain.

Yonaguni Island is located some 2,030 km from Tokyo, 509 km from Okinawa, and 111 km from Taiwan. On a sunny day, the mountain range of Taiwan is visible from the island. The sea is filled with coral reefs, and is a very popular diving spot. The sea surrounding Yonaguni Island is the home to the dogtooth tuna, and hammerhead sharks. The ancient ruins located underwater, are the subject of intense interest of archeologists today. Yonaguni is also known for its fishing spots, where marlin weighing 80-200 kg, are regularly reeled in. Some lucky fishers have even come across marlin larger than 400 kg.

The Yonaguni Horse is the smallest of the eight different types of native Japanese horses that exist. Another unique creature of Yonaguni Island is the world's largest moth called yonagunisan (or ayami habiru.) Its wing span can exceed 30 cm.

==Synopsis==
Kagura Akane ([[Horikita Maki]]) is the only daughter of a family who runs a teppanyaki place in downtown Tokyo. Akane had always been proud of her father Tetsuma, who was called the "No.1 teppanyaki chef in Japan." Growing up in such an environment, she naturally acquired "teppanyaki skills." However, when her mother died of illness, her father lost his energy to work and disappeared. Since then, Akane has managed and protected the restaurant all by herself. ==Synopsis==
After first airing in 2003 as a drama series, and as a two day special in 2004, Dr. Koto is back with all the same cast.

February 2006, Shikine Island. Dr. Koto is riding his bicycle to visit his patients. He is told by one of them that Takehiro-one of the boys who was brought up on this island-has passed the entrance exam for a junior high school in Tokyo. The island is filled with excitement at the wonderful news. Meanwhile, the island's only nurse, Ayaka, is in Tokyo. She said that she is going to attend a rehabilitation seminar. But actually, she has gone to Tokyo for a medical examination...

On the ship heading back to the island, Ayaka encounters Mina, who is having a quarrel with a drunken man. The Shikina Island mayor steps in and accidentally tumbles down a flight of stairs. Ayaka immediately contacts Dr. Koto for instructions and gives the mayor first-aid treatment.

As soon as they arrive on the island, Dr. Koto gets ready for the mayor's operation. Ayaka is surprised when Mina volunteers to help out. She turns out to be the new nurse to be stationed on the island. However, she doesn't even know how to handle an anesthesia machine. At one point, she almost mistakenly hooks up a different fluid for an IV. What's worse, she faints in the middle of the operation. Her rude behavior and attitude has Ayaka at her wit's end. Dr. Koto tries to calm Ayaka down when he receives a phone call from a hospital in Tokyo. He is shocked to hear the results of Ayaka's medical examination and her condition...

The Fuji Television drama, "Dr. Koto's Clinic" takes place on the fictitious Shikina Island. The drama was actually filmed on location on the beautiful Yonaguni—one of the islands in the Yaeyama island chain.

Yonaguni Island is located some 2,030 km from Tokyo, 509 km from Okinawa, and 111 km from Taiwan. On a sunny day, the mountain range of Taiwan is visible from the island. The sea is filled with coral reefs, and is a very popular diving spot. The sea surrounding Yonaguni Island is the home to the dogtooth tuna, and hammerhead sharks. The ancient ruins located underwater, are the subject of intense interest of archeologists today. Yonaguni is also known for its fishing spots, where marlin weighing 80-200 kg, are regularly reeled in. Some lucky fishers have even come across marlin larger than 400 kg.

The Yonaguni Horse is the smallest of the eight different types of native Japanese horses that exist. Another unique creature of Yonaguni Island is the world's largest moth called yonagunisan (or ayami habiru.) Its wing span can exceed 30 cm.

==Synopsis==
Due to a congenital disorder, 31-year old Otake Teruaki ([[Kusanagi Tsuyoshi]]) has the intelligence of a 10-year-old. He is also afflicted with autism. Teruaki can recite the long list of Tour de France winners or memorize the exact words of someone, but is unable to answer abstract questions such as "How's it going?" Thus, he tends to be misunderstood by others, and has difficulty keeping a job for a long time. He has just quit his job at a store that sells bento (lunch box).

Teruaki lives with his mother Satoe ([[Nagayama Aiko]]) and younger sister Rina ([[Motokariya Yuika]]). In his spotless room, Teruaki likes to watch Tour de France videos and write three-line letters to his childhood friend, Miyako ([[Karina]]).

One day, Miyako introduces Teruaki a job as a zoo keeper at the zoo she works at. Accompanied by his mother, Teruaki has an interview with the director of the zoo. He will be working for two weeks to see what it's like. Under the direction of an experienced zoo keeper, Kubo Ryosuke ([[Osugi Ren]]), Teruaki will be working at the petting zoo. When he is handed a broom to clean up, he doesn't know what to do with it and just stands there. He has no idea where to clean and how. Miyako advices Ryosuke to "be sure to give him clear directions."

After a week working at the zoo, Teruaki is taking care of a guinea pig. In the zoo, a clown is performing with balloons. When a balloon breaks, Teruaki is startled at the sound and accidentally lets the guinea pig loose, and Teruaki goes into a panic. "--Fuji TV"

==Synopsis==
Sakaki "Tornado" Makio ([[Nagase Tomoya]]), the tough 27 year-old ''wakagashira'' (young master) of the Kantou Sharp Fang family loves alcohol, fighting, women and pudding. However, he is a high school drop-out and by academic standards, pretty dumb. He is illiterate, extremely bad at math and cannot even fully write his name in kanji. His father ([[Ichimura Masachika]]), who is also the family's ''oyabun'' (boss), worries for the future of his son and his organization as he wishes for Makio to succeed him. He decides to force his son to return to high school to receive his diploma. He asks an old friend who happens to be the principal of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother Mikio ([[Kikawada Masaya]]).

Furthermore, he must pose as a 17 year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his yakuza identity is found out, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.

A man is cooking a steak in an apartment kitchen. Although his skills are a bit rusty, his usage of spices and way of pouring brandy to light a fire is quite a sight. He's Shinsuke Kuwano, an architect. He starts taking bites of the steak when his cell phone rings. It's Eiji Murakami, Shinsuke's assistant at the office. He has called to remind Shinsuke of a party that he was supposed to attend.

"Mr. Kuwano, you were the one invited. Why aren't you here?"
"Eiji, did you know that the ancient Romans partied by lying on the floor and feasting with their hands?"
"You have to come. There's somebody that wants to build a house soon."

Later on at the party, Shinsuke finds Eiji hitting on a girl. "Did you know that five-story pagodas are actually one-story high?" This is a piece of trivia that Shinsuke had told him. Shinsuke stands out at the party with his handsome looks. When he learns that a girl at the party is interested in him, for some reason, he starts talking endlessly about architecture, eventually boring the girl. Eiji says, "Mr. Kuwano, if you don't do something about your personality, you'll never be able to get married." "I like being alone!" replies Shinsuke.

In the meantime, at a Japanese restaurant, Natsumi Hayasaka is reluctantly having dinner with an arranged date. When Natsumi feels that the topic of conversation is heading towards marriage, she finally speaks up.

At a later date, Maya Sawasaki, who works in the housing industry is giving a tour of a house Shinsuke designed. Maya is confident of landing a deal with a customer, but Shinsuke just can't keep his mouth shut, ruining the deal. Although Maya and Eiji are fed up with Shinsuke's personality, they still respect his way of designing homes, focusing on the kitchen — the place in the house where family warmth is built upon.

Kaoru returns home at 4:00 am, before sunrise. Outside her room window, she spots a high school student standing with a surf board in his hands. It becomes her routine to watch him and his friends come and go to the ocean every morning, before going to sleep.

Their destined encounter takes place during the few hours before the break of day, drawing together two individuals that would have never met in daylight. However, Kouji does not know about her illness. The two rapidly fall for one another and continues to meet in the city at night. Then one day, an incident leads Kouji to learn of Kaoru's illness. Kaoru gives up her first love telling herself that, "I shouldn't have allowed myself to dream of a happy life. I am not normal after all." She even gives up singing. Kouji seeing Kaoru at such a state encourages her by suggesting, "Let's meet only at night," and comes up with a brilliant present for her.

==Synopsis==
A man is cooking a steak in an apartment kitchen. Although his skills are a bit rusty, his usage of spices and way of pouring brandy to light a fire is quite a sight. He's Shinsuke Kuwano, an architect. He starts taking bites of the steak when his cell phone rings. It's Eiji Murakami, Shinsuke's assistant at the office. He has called to remind Shinsuke of a party that he was supposed to attend.

"Mr. Kuwano, you were the one invited. Why aren't you here?"
"Eiji, did you know that the ancient Romans partied by lying on the floor and feasting with their hands?"
"You have to come. There's somebody that wants to build a house soon."

Later on at the party, Shinsuke finds Eiji hitting on a girl. "Did you know that five-story pagodas are actually one-story high?" This is a piece of trivia that Shinsuke had told him. Shinsuke stands out at the party with his handsome looks. When he learns that a girl at the party is interested in him, for some reason, he starts talking endlessly about architecture, eventually boring the girl. Eiji says, "Mr. Kuwano, if you don't do something about your personality, you'll never be able to get married." "I like being alone!" replies Shinsuke.

In the meantime, at a Japanese restaurant, Natsumi Hayasaka is reluctantly having dinner with an arranged date. When Natsumi feels that the topic of conversation is heading towards marriage, she finally speaks up.

At a later date, Maya Sawasaki, who works in the housing industry is giving a tour of a house Shinsuke designed. Maya is confident of landing a deal with a customer, but Shinsuke just can't keep his mouth shut, ruining the deal. Although Maya and Eiji are fed up with Shinsuke's personality, they still respect his way of designing homes, focusing on the kitchen — the place in the house where family warmth is built upon.

==Synopsis==
This drama portraits the nostalgias of "the good old days" and youthful hopes and dreams.

Yuika Satonaka (Ueto) is a freshman in university who came to live in Tokyo to continue her studies. Although she had a brand new start before her eyes, she was somehow at a loss. Nothing seemed to interest her and her hopes and dreams were distant. One day at the school orientation, her eyes are glued at a sudden performance of a group of unsuccessful actors, "Shimokita Sundays". ==Synopsis==
Sakaki "Tornado" Makio ([[Nagase Tomoya]]), the tough 27 year-old ''wakagashira'' (young master) of the Kantou Sharp Fang family loves alcohol, fighting, women and pudding. However, he is a high school drop-out and by academic standards, pretty dumb. He is illiterate, extremely bad at math and cannot even fully write his name in kanji. His father ([[Ichimura Masachika]]), who is also the family's ''oyabun'' (boss), worries for the future of his son and his organization as he wishes for Makio to succeed him. He decides to force his son to return to high school to receive his diploma. He asks an old friend who happens to be the principal of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother Mikio ([[Kikawada Masaya]]).

Furthermore, he must pose as a 17 year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his yakuza identity is found out, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.

==Synopsis==
A man is cooking a steak in an apartment kitchen. Although his skills are a bit rusty, his usage of spices and way of pouring brandy to light a fire is quite a sight. He's Shinsuke Kuwano, an architect. He starts taking bites of the steak when his cell phone rings. It's Eiji Murakami, Shinsuke's assistant at the office. He has called to remind Shinsuke of a party that he was supposed to attend.

"Mr. Kuwano, you were the one invited. Why aren't you here?"
"Eiji, did you know that the ancient Romans partied by lying on the floor and feasting with their hands?"
"You have to come. There's somebody that wants to build a house soon."

Later on at the party, Shinsuke finds Eiji hitting on a girl. "Did you know that five-story pagodas are actually one-story high?" This is a piece of trivia that Shinsuke had told him. Shinsuke stands out at the party with his handsome looks. When he learns that a girl at the party is interested in him, for some reason, he starts talking endlessly about architecture, eventually boring the girl. Eiji says, "Mr. Kuwano, if you don't do something about your personality, you'll never be able to get married." "I like being alone!" replies Shinsuke.

In the meantime, at a Japanese restaurant, Natsumi Hayasaka is reluctantly having dinner with an arranged date. When Natsumi feels that the topic of conversation is heading towards marriage, she finally speaks up.

At a later date, Maya Sawasaki, who works in the housing industry is giving a tour of a house Shinsuke designed. Maya is confident of landing a deal with a customer, but Shinsuke just can't keep his mouth shut, ruining the deal. Although Maya and Eiji are fed up with Shinsuke's personality, they still respect his way of designing homes, focusing on the kitchen — the place in the house where family warmth is built upon.

==Synopsis==
Sakaki "Tornado" Makio ([[Nagase Tomoya]]), the tough 27 year-old ''wakagashira'' (young master) of the Kantou Sharp Fang yakuza family loves alcohol, fighting, women and pudding. However, he is a high school drop-out and by academic standards, pretty dumb. He is illiterate, extremely bad at math and cannot even fully write his name in kanji. His father ([[Ichimura Masachika]]), who is also the family's ''oyabun'' (boss), worries for the future of his son and his organization as he wishes for Makio to succeed him. He decides to force his son to return to high school to receive his diploma. He asks an old friend who happens to be the principal of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother Mikio ([[Kikawada Masaya]]).

Furthermore, he must pose as a 17 year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his identity as a mobster is found out, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.
