+The murder case of Sudo Isao (Omi Toshinari), a used car dealer, occurred under the National highway overpass in Shizuoka Prefecture in 2008. While investigating Sudo, Kusaka Satoru (Koizumi Kotaro), a detective with the Shizuoka Prefectural Police, Fuji Susono Station, finds out that the young son, Obata Mamoru, who Sudo had with his divorced wife, died in a kidnapping incident in 1974. In 1988, one year before the statute of limitations for the kidnapping expired, a special investigation team was formed at the order of Shizuoka Prefectural Police Chief Hashibami Yasuhide (Takashima Masanobu). Six capable detectives led by Shigeto Seiichiro (Kamikawa Takaya), who reached the position of superintendent in spite of the fact that he was a non-career official, conducted a reinvestigation.
