Synopsis
At an international space camp many years ago, two boys, Wu Wei and Ying Ziqi, aspired to be successful astronauts. Later, the second phase of the planned project failed twice in a row, and the Chief Engineer Qin of the control center issued a military order to face more complicated follow-up lunar detection and control work. He gathered five talents from different fields, Wu Wei, Ying Ziqi, Bai Yan, Miao Xinxian, and Yang Rui to formed a youth commando team of the control center, the Shepherd Team, hoping to create Chinese characteristics for the third phase of Haoyue project.
In the face of the doubts of other control teams, the relapse of Chief Qin’s illness, and a series of collisions between ideals and reality, the young researchers of the Shepherd Team have experienced failures and hesitations. After hard work and growth in the process, an unprecedented "Chinese ballistic" was designed for the moon landing and return module of the Haoyue Phase III project.
