Synopsis

A family drama about a son in his 50s and his mother in her 70s in the old part of Tokyo, who happen to live together again. Akio, a salaried worker who is faced with layoff and family breakdown, suddenly comes back to his parents' house. He is surprised to see how his mother Fukue has changed during the two years he has not seen her—she enthusiastically participates in volunteer activities and has a boyfriend. Through living together again after some decades, the son and the mother start pouring their heart out to each other.

-Takes place in the downtown area of Tokyo. The son, in his 50s, returns home to his parents for the first time in two years. He is surprised by the changes in his mother, who turned 70 years old.
