"Exchange of the baton" ceremony, held 2005-08-26 at the NHK studios. It is tradition that the heroine of the current asadora, and the heroine of the up-and-coming asadora exchange gifts, the gifts representing the location their shows took place.
Motokariya Yuika (left) of FIGHT gives Murakawa Eri of Kaze no Haruka a tray of squash, cabbage, beans and tomatoes - all grown in Gunma Prefecture. Gunma is known for their agriculture as well as their hot spring resorts.
In return, Ms. Murakawa gives Ms. Motokariya a tray of limes, representing the agriculture of Oita Prefecture. Like Gunma, Yufuin is known for their agriculture and hot springs.
