Synopsis
A story about a woman who finds new life through her fateful encounter with an American man and their permanent separation. Kudo Rika quits a bank to work at UNHCR in Tokyo, where she meets Ed, who later becomes her husband. Soon after the marriage, Ed leaves her to work in Sudan on a refugee relief project which leads their marriage to falter. After their divorce, Rika learns Ed was shot to death in Afghanistan which gives a huge impact on her life. --NHK
