Synopsis

This legendary tale, set on the Grand Canal, recounts the desperate journey of a crown prince, a minor constable, a female doctor, and a minor official - a fate that leaves no one immune. Constable Wu Dingyuan, female doctor Su Jingxi, and minor official Yu Qian must escort Crown Prince Zhu Zhanji from Nanjing back to Beijing within 15 days. Each with their own agenda, they embark on a journey evading ambushes and pursuers. Dodging danger and overcoming obstacles along the way, they ultimately rediscover themselves, each other, and the world.
