==Acting Career==
Lee Dong Wook managed to gain recognition in 2005 after appearing in SBS' [[My Girl (SBS)|My Girl]]; the romantic comedy series was highly successful, not only in Korea, but across Asia. He would later achieve more success and recognition for his performances in other television series, such as [[Bittersweet Life]] and [[Partner]]. In 2011, he starred in the SBS' melodrama [[Scent of a Woman]] alongside co-star [[Kim Sun Ah]]. The drama series was a success with viewers, and critics praised his performance and chemistry with actress [[Kim Sun Ah]]. 

Lee Dong Wook would start to appear in a varied choice of television series genres, the sports rom-com [[Wild Romance (KBS)|Wild Romance]] (2012), the historical mystery thriller [[Heaven's Will: The Fugitive of Joseon]] (2013), and the revenge melodrama [[Hotel King]] (2014), in which he reunited with [[My Girl (SBS)|My Girl]]'s co-star [[Lee Da Hae]].  All the three dramas were successful with audiences and critics. 

In 2014, he starred in the lead role in KBS2 romantic fantasy melodrama [[Iron Man]].  A year later, in 2015 he starred in tvN's [[Bubblegum]].  Both television shows had lackluster ratings, but were praised by critics. 

He experienced a career resurgence after starring alongside co-stars [[Gong Yoo]], [[Kim Go Eun]], and [[Yoo In Na]] in [[Kim Eun Sook]]'s fantasy romance drama [[Goblin]].  The drama was a huge success and a cultural phenomenon in South Korea, as well as several other Asian countries. 

In 2018, he starred in the lead role in JTBC's [[Life]], a medical drama that was popular with audiences and critics and internationally distributed by Netflix.  

He is currently set to appear alongside [[Goblin]]'s co-star [[Yoo In Na]] in the romantic comedy-drama [[Touch Your Heart]]; the television series will air in January 2019.
