There is a small old style cinema in a tiny village in Koichi ken which airs a particular movie on designated date on the instructions of its dead owner. One day, a lady travels to the village with her son (Nagase) to watch this movie, the lady then relates the connection between this cinema with her parents and the dead owner.  Time travels back to Showa 30s (1950s). It was just after the war, a young soldier who has lost his memory due to trauma suffered in the war arrives in this village. He is "adopted" by the people in that village, given the name Shimanto Taro and starts working in the small village cinema. Taro builts up a strong friendship with many of the villagers, discovers his love for movies and also falls in love with a young feisty girl. -- ''kokitty''

Synopsis
