Synopsis
Sung Chan is a very creative and talented chef who was taken in as a child when he was orphaned by Bong Joo's family who owns the famous traditional Korean restaurant and claims descent from the last royal chef of the Joseon Dynasty. Notes
- According to Lee Jin Seck of JS Pictures, the production cost of Gourmet will apparently increase to 10 billion won (roughly about $10.6 million USD).
- Kim Ah Joong and Seo Ji Hye were previously attached as the lead actress, Jin Soo, but later on it was decided that Nam Sang Mi will be the one acting as the lead. The same with Han Eun Jung and Lee Tae Ran as Joo Hee but then Kim So Yun replaced them as the supporting actress of this series.
- Originally it was thought that MBC would be airing this drama but SBS finally won the rights to air this drama.
- The first episode was scheduled to be aired on the 16th of June but pushed back to the 17th to avoid ratings competition with the finale episode of the drama Yi San. SBS aired both episodes 1 and 2 on the 17th.
