Biography
Song Ji Na was born on September 12th, 1959. She mostly works together with director Kim Jong Hak. She got a degree in journalism, and started her writing career by writing scripts of social documentary series of a South Korean TV station. You can say she's a real pioneer, always broadening the territory of Korean dramas. She actually ignited the wave talking about recent history of Korea by writing a successful drama, Eye of Dawn (1991), which covered the first half of 20th century of Korea. And with the success of 'The Sandglass' (1995), she mastered the 20th century of South Korea with her own stories. -- Totuta's Sandglass site
