Obsolete Templates
I put some template descriptions in an "Obsolete" section because I think they shouldn't be used anymore. For example the category usages templates shouldn't be used because:
- they provide information to editors only and are of no use for normal readers. (not even 0.1% of our visitors are editors)
- the categorizing of pages is already described on the help page.
- the categorizing of pages is one of the first things every editor learns and doesn't need to be explained on every category page.
- the bodies of category pages should be kept as short as possible. (a short description of the category and perhaps a TOC for large categories should be enough.)
Also, the list of templates should only list commonly used templates. --MoerkJ 10:56, 22 Jul 2006 (EDT)
