Think that dynasty had ended? This story takes place in a surrounding of royal family. When the emperor was still alive, he had a friend that never thought of him as an emperor, but as a friend. To pay his friend back the emperor made a ring and a half of a peice stone that represented a deal between him and his friend. The deal was that when their grandchildren were born they would get marry. At that time the grandchild was supposed to be Lee Yul, but since his father died in an accident, Shin has taken the position to become the new crown prince. When Shin's father's health declined, Shin's grandmother hurried for the marriage to be done so Shin could take over at any time. Chea-Kyung, a normal student had over-heard the crown prince, Shin proposed to a girl, Hyo-rin. But unfortunatly Hyo-rin never thought about the situation and rejected his proposal. Shin decided to accept her decision and agreed to marry the girl that his grandfather chose. No one would know that the girl he has to marry is Chea-Kyung, who had over-heard his proposal. At first Chea-Kyung disagreed about the marriage, but since her father became bankrupt, she had no choice but to marry a person that she doesn't know much about. Prince Yul then came back for the wedding and fell in love with Chea-Kyung pure heart. After living with Chea-Kyung for long, Shin started to like her a little, but continued going out with Hyo-Rin. What will happen between this square love?

Hyo-rin comes to regret her decision and seeks to hold on to Shin's heart, while Shin's cousin, Yul, returns only to find himself falling in love with the new Crown Princess.  Shin seems to unable to let go of his old feelings for Hyo-rin even as he begin to develop news ones for Chae-gyung. Chae-gyung turns more and more toward Yul for emotional support as the customs of Goong and Shin's untouchable heart begin to break down her cheery facade.
