Momoe acted in many movies and TV dramas in her 8-year career.  In most of her movies, she would play an ill-fated girl who fell for a boy from a different class in the society. Usually she played either a low-class maid falling for her young master or a young mistress falling for one of the workers. The leading actor was usually [[Miura Tomokazu]], who is her husband in real life. They first starred together on the big screen in Momoe's 2nd movie「伊豆の踊子」(Izu no Odoriko/ Dancer from Izu). The movie was based on the novel of the same name by Nobel Prize winner -「川端康成」(Kawabata Yasunari).
