Michelle Yip born in the year 1980 Feb 14th. From her name, she is destined to boom into stardom. Definitely will be famous, is just a matter of time. Michelle name Yip Suen is a weak family name combine with a strong name. The person will have multiple character, sweet and nice outward appearance while her heart is matured. She knows how tom protect herself in the entertainment line and is capable of establishing wide personal network. This will help in her career. Presently, she is quite successful already. A Sad Childhood
On this day of February 14, 1980, Michelle Yip Suen was born into the loving arms of her father and mother. She was the only child so her parents treasure her like their little princess, but nothing last forever. When she turned 9 years old, her parents seperated. This wasn't a surprise because there were fore warnings that this day will come. Her dad was living in the US. She remembered one night her mom suddenly left the house leaving her on her own for a week. She was afraid to turn on the lights at first because she was scared about electricity. Then when she turned on the lights, she was afraid to see blood on the floor because someone once said that when lights are turned on, ghosts turn into puddles of blood. It was truly a real test of courage for a little girl staying at home alone in a big house. When her parents file the divorce papers, The Chinese Law Court gave her custody to her dad, so therefore she had to move to the US with her grandparents to live with her dad. She didn't want to leave her mom, but she didn't have a choice so all she could bring with her were their memories together. The only way that she could communicate with her mom was through letters. It was difficult for her to adjust to life in the US when she first moved there, and she would cried a lot. When she was 13 years old, her dad remarried, so she decided to move out with the financial support from her dad. When asked whether her parents would go out with her when she is unhappy, Michelle says, "My parents split up a long time ago and they don't live together so we are all rarely together. We only communicate by phone. If I was unhappy, I wouldn't talk to them because I wouldn't want them to worry about me". Michelle looks back at her childhood pictures and says that the picture of her with a red dot on her forehead is the cutest. Her mother always made her look pretty when she was young. Her mom would tie bows in her hair and once, she put a red dot on Michelle's forehead making her look like Nancy Sit. Michelle then says that she holds no hard feelings towards her parents and have come to understand why they had to divorce (her parents just couldn't get along). Both her parents have their own families now, but Michelle always tried to keep in touch with them.

How It All Began
It all started when Michelle entered a beauty pageant called "Miss NYC Chinatown Beauty Pageant" in 1998. The event was hosted on June 7, 1998 and she'd won the second runner up. When Michelle was 19, she entered TVB's "Miss Chinese International Pageant 1999" and was crowned first place. At the time when she was deciding to move to Hong Kong to work, her father opposed this. She says, "Because my mother and father wanted me to complete my education first, but they know that I want to try everything, so in the end they gave me their blessings". She then returned to her homeland for the first time and was reunited with her mother. Michelle says that she and her mother were like friends and her mom cared about her a lot.

First Step in Showbiz
Not long after Michelle returned to Hong Kong, she signed a 5 years contract with TVB in July of 1999. The first serie she filmed was Street Fighter where she played a girl who live with her grandmother because her parents had past away. It was a role that Michelle could kinda relate to because of her childhood. She didn't gained much fans from that serie, not until the release of the 2002 hit, Eternal Happiness. She played Mang Lai Kwan, a determined girl who dress as a guy and take on a journey to prove to everyone that women are just as good as men. She was praised greatly by this performance and this was deffinitely her favorite role that she ever played. She says, "I think I have a natural instinct to acting, although my experience is not great, I find it easy to enter into character". Michelle indicates that she has gained from each of her roles, saying, "Mang Lai Kwan's character is very different from my real personality, so after making this show, my own character has changed, eventually the two have come together and I am not as shy as I was before".

Thought of Pulling Out
When Michelle was filming Lofty Waters Verdant Bow, she hurt her pelvic area and she returned home to New York to rest for a while. During this time, she had thought about pulling out altogether. She says, "At that time, I suddenly thought about pulling out and returning to college to study. I was very confused, I just thought that in the blueprint of my life, I want to be greedy and try a lot of things." When Michelle talked to her management, TVB, about her thoughts, but without a second thought TVB tried to keep her, causing Michelle to decide to do even better as she did not want to disappoint the good teachers and friends who were all supporting her.

Love Life and Rumors
Career and Love, Michelle chose the first option. She spoke of her love history for the first time, saying, "Before I entered the industry, when I was studying at university in the US, I met a handsome man who was studying at Harvard University, he was quite popular at college and when we were together, we were very happy, but not long later, I came back to Hong Kong to work and our relationship just fizzled out." Thinking back, she says, "I have regretted it at times, not keeping in touch with him, but we are so far apart, it would be difficult to stay together." When Michelle first became an actress, because she partnered with Benny a lot, rumours were created. Although both Benny and Michelle denied these strongly the rumours persisted for a long time. Until recently, Benny announced publicly that he likes Charmaine Sheh, Charmaine doesn't object to Benny, his and Michelle's rumours ended at last. About this Michelle yells, "Finally let off the hook!" As for Raymond, she CLAIMS that they're buddies and thats all. As for why they hit along well, its becuz they're both from China and both went overseas to study and both are highly competitive and both like to bicker with each other. Looking at him is just like looking into a mirror. Her latest rumored boyfriend is a rich man from Chin Siu Wan. Michelle responded to this rumor, denying and saying, "He is a good friend whom I have known for 5 years, he was my classmate in the US and not my boyfriend, the report was all made up and he is not a wealthy boy. If I wanted to find a rich man, I wouldn't need to work so hard with making serials day and night! Negative reports like this are detrimental to the image I have built up over the years that I have been making shows."

The Perfect Guy
When asked about her criteria for choosing a partner, she says, "I particularly admire clever men who are ambitious, I would like to get married before I am thirty. However, I believe in fate, it will come when it comes and cannot be stopped." When asked whether she has ever met with any striking romances, she replies no, but there are special times, when the man filmed a video tape for her and when they all went on holiday together ect. She said,"I'm a perfectionist, if you want to impress me, you have to be romantic. Myself, I have a romantic side, for example I will write cards, make little craft things for them, or pretend top forget about their Bday and then giving them a present by surprise". When asking Michelle about her love life recently, she said that she has not met the right guy, and she is not too concerned or anxious to find love. She said, "I believe in destiny/fate, if he's the right guy then we will meet. (Will you not want to date people in the acting business?) No, the most important thing is that he is right for me." Even though she said that she doesn't like anyone at the moment, Michelle would like an ancient/traditional chinese wedding. She said,"Because I really like acting in ancient series, if all the guest dressed up in ancient clothing, it'll be even better.(Will you object to wearing a wedding dress?) Of course not, when I get married I will wear both a wedding dress and a kwun kwa (chinese wedding robes), even though I have worn them many times in films, but these are still acting, when I am really getting married, the feeling would be different."

Michelle and Her Green Beetle
Michelle got her driving license while still at school in New York, but in New York she didn't drive, but when she came to HK, she bought a Beetle to take her to places. Michelle's green beetle (car) has been photographed many times by the press, but officially it has only been photographed once, she laughs, "The car hasn't been washed clean, and is scratched all over, people laugh saying I am more suited to driving a tank. Despite the Beetle being knocked and scratched, it is my first car that I have owned, so I don't want to change it." Michelle has always driven German Beetles, she has always like European cars. When asked if the next time she gets a new car, will she consider the Elise, she says truthfully that she still likes BMW new style Z4 sports car more. "I have thought that if I do change cars, first choice would be a 2-seater sports car, because its smart and because I don't have to take my friends home!" Michelle laughs. Even though she has to drive to work everyday, she only drives on certain routes, even if it is driving from home to work, don't ask her to go on new routes, it's dangerous!

Communicate with Fans
Even though Michelle is not the most famous, she already has a group of loyal fans (that's us isn't it ) the number of male and females are quite equal, this proves Michelle is universally popular. But at the moment she does not mean to start a fan club as she does not want to have a set amount of meetings thus affecting her working hours. She also doesn't want the admission fees to cause money problems. So she meets with them when she has time, then there is less pressure on her as well. She said, " Actually my fans have already set up a web page for me, when I have time I will go on there to leave messages and answer fan mail personally, so fans automatically feel closer to me. So I'm not anxious to start any official fanclubs."
