She decides to leave her husband. Ko Gun makes a cake for his son, after he's done he rushes to see his son and wife. While he does that, he accidentally hits a taxi with an old woman in it. Because he's in a hurry he lies that the box with the cake in it is a bomb, he wants to run away but the is caught by the police. He has to go to jail because of the threat. In jail Ko Gun meets Suen Yu Lok (Jack Wu).
Tong Sheung's (Myolie Wu) boyfriend dumped her. Because of this she wants to prove to her ex-boyfriend that she can open a cake store. She uses all her money to open a cake store, but she can't bake a nice cake at all. Her father (Gordon Liu) doesn't even like western cakes at all. His wife has left him and his family a long time ago, because she wanted to be a cake master. When Ko Gun is released from jail, a cake company, Gateaux, wants Ko Gun to be the head cook. The owner wants Ko Gun to replace Paul. But the owner's daughter Sa Lai (Annie Man) doesn't want Paul to be replaced, she really dislikes Ko Gun and she wants to get rid of him. When Sheung's cake store is burned, she thinks Suen Yu Lok and Go Kun were the ones who burned her cake store. She tries to get a job at Gateaux, she gets it, together with Suen Yu Lok and Bo Long. A relative from Sheung is also working at Gateaux, Coco (Bobo Chan). Ko Gun is unhappy with the quality of the cakes at Gateaux. The people working at Gateaux think Ko Gun is an arrogant cook, because he critizes everyone.
Ko Gun causes two sisters to be injured in another accident. One of them is actually Sheung's long lost mother. But because she lost her memory she doesn't know anything about Sheung and her family. Her sister is unconcious, she demands that she lives with Ko Gun in the mean time, because they are from France and she has no place to go.
Sheung finds out that she misunderstood Ko Gun, she starts being nice to him, eventually she falls in love with him. Ko Gun is in love with her too, but he lies that he isn't. Eventually he admits he loves her too. In the mean time Suen Yu Lok keeps on fooling around with the waitresses outside the kitchen. Coco is very mad because her waitresses are always talking with him and not working. Then Suen Yu Lok and Bo Long both fall in love with Coco.
Then Ko Gun finds out that Sheung's mother is actually a famous and talented cake master too. When everything goes well between Ko Gun and Sheung, Sa Lai and Paul try to make Ko Gun look bad using Sheung's mother. They want Sheung to beat Ko Gun in a contest. She beats him and Ko Gun becomes a lazy person, he doesn't make cakes anymore. Later Sheung finds out she has mistaken Ko Gun again, and she tries Ko Gun to get his reputation back.
A lot of sweet and nice cakes in this drama, with some hilarious parts about Sheung's thoughts.
