Synopsis

Does fate exist? If so, can you knowingly break the vicious cycle or will fate play out the way it was meant to be? This drama will depict the sadness behind a man's ambition to become wealthy and successful, even if that means throwing away his family and the person he loves.

Yoon Seok-Joo (Kim Dong-Wan) comes from a poor family background. Having lost his parents at a young age, Seok-Joo knew nothing but how to steal and live off the streets until his aunt brings him in to live with her in Seoul. It's at this time when he meets the love of his life, Kim Suh-Young (Han Eun-Jung). As he learns to love again and become to be a man with a soul, he slowly puts his life back together…

A few years into the future, Seok-Joo is on his way to be a successful manager at Sung Ju Pictures and a soon to be father! It couldn't have been more perfect. That is, until he meets Lee Jung-Min (Hwang Jung-Eum) through an ill-fated car accident.

After being unable to resist her desire to be with him, and discovering that she is the daughter of the President at Sung Ju Pictures, Suk-Joo's own dark ambition goes too far as he leaves his long-time girlfriend, baby daughter, and his family to live the life he's always wanted.Oddly enough, this is exactly the same situation President Lee was in when he married Jung-Min's mother. He too, threw away his loved ones to marry into a wealthy family…and can't help but feel regret to this day for the pain he's caused to his past family, and his current one.

Will Seok-Joo let his ambition get the best of him? Or is he too, ill-fated to live a better life by throwing away his past?
