Synopsis
Nomiya Runa is a transgender woman who runs a bar "Marquee Moon" and enjoys literature. There, she meets Sawatsuji Ryoko, a housewife who is continuously tormented by her cheating husband and spoiled children. Through their conversation, Runa senses a "certain regret" Ryoko has been carrying for 20 years, which prompts them to embark on a journey to Osaka. There, the two women become involved in a murder case. Runa utilising her knowledge from classic literatures, tries to uncover the truth behind the crime and the complex human drama related to it.
