Search Engine

I noticed Dramawiki's search engine has been removed recently. In my opinion, that one is more convenient compared to Google search engine because it goes direct to the page. Is there any reason for taking it out? --Natokajun 15:28, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I believe they disabled it so that it would allow mysql to settle down before opening it to search processes. Ruroshin recently upgraded MediaWiki, and it was taking a long time for all the articles to be processed. Once the database is back to normal, the option should return. I think the standard search was disabled because of the low server performance after the sofware upgrade. Since the issues have been fixed and because of the extra features, I have added the search box again. Btw, the search was always accessible through Special:Search and Groink's mozilla search plugin. --MoerkJ talk 06:40, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
