I know it should be Fukatsu Eri, I wasn't the one who wrote the entry name for her profile. All I did was add information about her. After all, I did write it as "Fukatsu Eri" under the romanization of her name. I'm unfamiliar with editing things in DramaWiki so I didn't try to change the entry name. I'm learning more about editing things here though, so I changed the name on the "One Million Stars Falling from the Sky" page to "Fukatsu Eri." It links to the already existing profile page for her. I didn't realize there was already a page on her so I tried to help out by adding information to the "Eri Fukatsu" page. I wonder if someone can delete that page.--Kai0227 16:09, 6 Apr 2006 (EDT)

: The moderators have already redirected the page.  So, if you want to add some more information that wasn't already added to Fukatsu Eri, then go for it and make sure to click the "Show preview" button before saving the page so that the log files don't get cluttered up with non-minor changes.  YtToshi 02:39, 7 Apr 2006 (EDT)

Back on the D-Addicts forums, we decided awhile back to switch to the YYYY-MM-DD format, rather than the DD Month YYYY format. I'll go ahead and fix everything back. Groink 14:44, 25 Dec 2005 (EST)

Groink: Don't you mean YYYY-MM-DD instead of YYYY-DD-MM? --Gryzze 19:12, 25 Dec 2005 (EST)

LOL! Yes, I meant YYYY-MM-DD... Corrected! :) Groink 19:29, 25 Dec 2005 (EST)

Thanks Gryzze and Groink for the changes. I was confused at first as to which way the date should be represented for every profile that needed to be edited. At first, I thought I had it right the first time, but on a lot of the kept showing the DD Month YYYY format and that's why I made those changes. Again, thanks for the changes and explanation.

Fansites not allowed in the links section?

Hello, I noticed you removed the "Takashi Sorimachi Fansite" from the links section. So I guess any "fansite" should be deleted, like the one listed on: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Yamada_Takayuki Am I right? ^_^

Please, forgive me for any mistake m(_ _)m --Martina 01:33, 11 Mar 2006 (EST)

Yes, fansite should be removed from the Wikipedia because they don't present information about the actor or actress. The reason it's still up there right now is because many of the editors are busy fixing other pages that have been corrupted when the sysadmin updated the Wikipedia software. So, over time, they will be deleted by the moderators. No need to apologize since you didn't know about this and trust me, many people have made the same mistake as you did. So, at least it was nice that you talked about it here, unlike other users who continue to "follow the leader" --YtToshi 01:43, 11 Mar 2006 (EST)

Thank you ^_^ I don't agree that "fansites don't present information about the actor", because sometimes fansites are more complete than the official ones, and also the official sites are usually "Japanese only", which not many people can read. But of course I understand it's forbidden to link fansites, and I won't do it anymore ^_^ --Martina 01:54, 11 Mar 2006 (EST)

There is some misunderstanding it seems. There is no such rule. You may link everything that contains further information. But you should avoid links to commercial sites (unless they pay us, haha) or to "volatile" fansites. Generally sites which appear and disappear, or are not providing any further information, or even illegal sites should not be linked. I guess this alone renders many fansites not useful for DramaWiki. --MoerkJ 04:32, 11 Mar 2006 (EST)
Thanks MoerkJ for the explanation :D I thought that this site could be useful on the Sorimachi entry: http://romance.altervista.org/sorimachi/ It certainly contains further information (and updated news) about Sorimachi, but YtToshi removed it anyway...
The one thing that I'M trying to avoid is having some people use DramaWiki as just another site to further increase their Google points and boost their ratings in other search engines. There was one person here who probably owned an idols fansite, and tried posting his URL on dozens of the artist articles. I've actually seen the Wikipedia and even the Public MM wiki admins remove fansite links for this reason.
What we need to do is to define:
1) The purpose of "External Links" on an artist page.
2) What constitutes a "site" that further explorers the artist, but at the same time does not expose DramaWiki of possible problems (unauthorized linking, linking of unaccepatable content like erotic photos or vulgar language).
We actually dicussed this in the DramaWiki forum on D-A. Basically, we're linking to: Wikipedia, JDorama.com, Public MM wiki and "official" web sites. If I were to use my own criteria right now to analyse the site Martina tried linking to, I'd say it would be acceptable because this particular fansite does show some credibility (ex: taking out a domain name using the artist's name, and the content is organized and written well.) But again, allowing linking to a home-made Yahoo site or any other sites that have a million other artists should really be frowned upon. Groink 17:08, 11 Mar 2006 (EST)
Thank you, Groink ^_^ I agree with you. So, maybe this time I could link that Sorimachi fansite again, without it being removed? And I also wanted to link this: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/taro-yamamoto/ on the page about Yamamoto Taro...
Since both Groink and MoerkJ have said it's okay to add the fansite links, I won't interfere in this matter any longer and I'll go on to other pages that need to be fixed. So, if you feel that the links would be a good addition to the artist, then add them to the artist's page.
I'd still remove the fansite links, but only after looking over each of the fansite. If the site has nothing to contribute except for photos and the usual information you can find on Wikipedia or other wiki, I would still remove the link. Basically, use your own judgement. Personally, I would have removed the link myself. Groink 04:16, 13 Mar 2006 (EST)
