Synopsis

Based on the book 'Futari no Masako' by Odate Sue, the drama will be about the life of actress Masako Natsume, who died of leukemia in 1985 at the age of 27. Tokyograph

Masako Odate is an only daughter who aspires to be an actress. She wants to understand the lives of others and experience their pain and joy. Overcoming her mother's objections, she enters the entertainment world, only to find herself woefully unsuccessful.

A new opportunity as a character girl appears. But this time, her mother makes her choose between her dream and the Odate family name, leading to the birth of 'Natsume Masako'!

Masako went on to become one of Japan's most successful actress of the 80's, but her life was cut tragically short with the diagnosis of acute leukemia. Despite the latest methods of treatment for the time, she died on November 9th, 1985.
