Biography

A Gorgeous Beauty
Born in Hong Kong on July 1974, Sonija Kwok Sin-Nei was mixed with 1/4 british blood.
After her graduation from Vancouver University majoring in Physicology and Economics, she came back to Hong Kong to take part of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant.


Miss Hong Kong 1999
With a perfect body (H: 168 cm, W: 49 kg, BWH: 33-23-34) she represented Vancouver at Miss Hong Kong Pageant.
She was the favorite since the beginning so there was no surprise when she won the Champion Title in 1999. She won few other Special Awards like Miss Photogenic, Miss Intelligence and Miss International Goodwill.


Miss Chinese International 2000
In 2000, she took part of another Beauty Competition and became the first Miss Hong Kong after Michelle Reis in 1988 to win the Miss Chinese International Competition. This time, she archived more Special awards like Miss Internet Popularity and Miss Vegas Gorgeous. The same year, Sonija also represented Hong Kong at Miss Universe Competition.

A Talented Actress
After her long reign as a beauty queen, Sonija entered the entertainment industry with a Contract Actress for TVB (TeleVision Broadcast).
She begins with a short apparition in TV serie "Law Enforcers" as a Guest-Star in 2000. She later gets a bigger role as Louis Koo's fiancee in a Grand Production "A Step Into The Past" in 2001. In 2002, Sonija worked with two other big stars Ada Choi and Steven Ma in serie "Where The Legend Begins".
With a strong personality Sonija never gave up and continued working hard to improve her acting. She started acting in Modern Series like "Fight For Love", "Family Man" or "Love And Again" co-staring with popular stars like Bowie Lam, Maggie Siu, Paul Chun, Alex Fong... In 2003, she met TVB actress Charmaine Sheh Si-Man and they became friends for life. They acted together in "Perish In The Name Of Love", a Costume TV Serie in which Sonija took one more time a Villain Role.
After this serie, Producers decided to promote her more and to give Sonija her first role as the Main Lead in "The Legend Of Love". She got the role of the beautiful fairy Chuc Nu and was paired with Deric Wan Siu-Lun (as Nguu Lang) who became her boyfriend off-screen. After this serie, people started to like her more and Sonija confirmed her status of one of TVB Most Popular Actress in "Angels Of Mission" (2004) in which she showed her best performance ever! She acted as the perfect beautiful Lead near two other beauties Charmaine Sheh (Miss Hong Kong 1997 2nd Runner Up) and Shirley Yeung (Miss Hong Kong 2001 Champion).
During 2004, Sonija joined the cast of Modern Serie "Hidden Treasures" with Bobby Au-Yeung and Anne Heung (Miss Hong Kong 1998) who crowned her in 1999.
Later on, she was paired with Nick Cheung in Grand Production "The Last Breakthrough". Sonija has the chance to travel to Kenya. Her acting at this time has improved so much, her crying scenes was actually very credible.
Her coming up Costume Serie "Lethal Weapons Of Love And Passion" co-staring with Raymond Lam and best friend Charmaine Sheh will air soon.
Sonija has two other recent series as the Main Lead Role: "Roaming Sword" (Finished filming) co-staring with Sunny Chan and "Warring States Battling Heroes" with Joe Ma and Damian Lau...

Sonija Kwok is actually on the road of success: she takes more and more Lead roles and her acting is really improving...it is her time to rise !!!
