Actress Maho Nonami acted as Fire Chief for a Day Wednesday in a special event held at the Marunouchi Building in Tokyo.
" Whenever I put on a uniform my voice gets louder and stronger and I feel as though I'm properly dressed," said 22-year-old Maho, whose main claim to fame so far has been playing the role of a policewoman in a TBS drama. "It's the first time I've worn a firefighter's uniform, but I'd gotten used to wearing a police uniform." (Mainichi Shimbun, Feb. 26, 2003)
