About Yuuya

Yuya won the Best Actor Prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival for his role in Nobody Knows. It is the first time that the award has been won by a Japanese actor, and also the first time that it has been given to someone as young as 14. Prior to this, he was almost unknown, even in Japan. TIME magazine elected him as 2004 Asia's Best Heroes.
