Synopsis
Otoko wa tsurai yo ("It's tough being a man") was the original TV series that started the film series starring Kiyoshi Atsumi (48 installments from 1969 to 1995).
Kuruma Torajiro, "Tora-san", is a kind-hearted salesman that travels around the country. While visiting a small town, he would meet a woman, often a lady in distress, and offer her that if she's ever in Tokyo, to look for him. But as he fall in love with her, he would often help her solve her problems with her loved one and end up heart-broken.
