About Junsu
Born and raised in Gyeonggi-do, Junsu has an older fraternal twin brother named Junho. He was the first member to join TVXQ. Junsu auditioned for SM Entertainment with best friend since the 6th grade, Eunhyuk from Super Junior. Although Eunhyuk didn't make the audition that year, Junsu did. Junsu chose "Xiah" to be his stage name, explaining that the name was short for "Asia", and it would implicate his desire to not only become a star in Korea, but also in all of Asia.
Junsu was also a part of Samsung's Anycall project, Anyband (consisting of Junsu, his label-mate BoA, Tablo of Epik High, and jazz pianist Jin Bora). In 2006, he collaborated with label-mate Jang Ri In for her debut single "Timeless". For TVXQ's third album, "O-Jung.Ban.Hap", he wrote and composed "White Lie". For the TRICK project, Junsu composed his Japanese solo track "Rainy Night". He also wrote "Picture of You" which was included on the group's fourth Korean album Mirotic. For TVXQ's fourth live concert tour in 2009, Xiah performed his self-composed song "Xiahtic" in Japanese.
