About U-Know
Yunho was born and raised in Gwangju along with a younger sister, Jung Ji-Hye. When he was thirteen he joined SM Entertainment after winning a dance competition. Band-mate Hero Jaejoong was originally selected to be the leader of TVXQ because he is the oldest, however, Hero gave the role to Yunho believing he would do a better job. Yunho chose his stage name to be U-Know because he wants to understand everybody as in "I know you".
For the second Asia tour concert, Yunho performed his self-composed song "Spokesman". He and bandmate Micky Yoochun are also featured rappers in the song "Heartquake" from Super Junior's third album Sorry, Sorry. Yunho also performed "Checkmate", another self-composed song at the Tohoshinki 4th Live Tour 2009: The Secret Code.
Yunho has appeared on Banjun Drama and Vacation with his fellow band-mates. He also made a guest appearance in Rainbow Romance. In July 2009, Yunho was cast in the MBC miniseries "Heading to the Ground" along with label-mate actress Go Ah Ra.
