About JaeJoong
JaeJoong was born as Han Jaejoon (한재준) in Gongju. However, at a young age, his birth mother gave him up for adoption due to financial problems. He was then adopted by the Kim family and his name was changed to Kim JaeJoong. When he was sixteen, he moved to Seoul by himself in order to take part in the auditions held by SM Entertainment.
In 2001, Hero auditioned at SM and was accepted. On December 26, 2003, he debuted with TVXQ. Apart from the group, he has also participated in solo activities. For the soundtrack of the popular movie "A Millionaire's First Love", Hero sang "Insa" (Greeting), which also featured a version by Lee Yun Hee, and a version sung by TVXQ. For the fifth and final single in the TRICK project, Hero sang the solo track "Maze". JaeJoong wrote and composed: "Wasurenaide" which was included on the group's 25th Japanese single; "9095" for the group's 4th Japanese album The Secret Code; and "Don't Cry My Lover", featured on TVXQ's 4th Korean album Mirotic. In early September 2009, he and band-mate Micky Yoochun released a self-written duet, "Colors - Melody and Harmony". The single will be fully released on September 30, 2009. The song will be used as the image song for Hello Kitty's 35th year anniversary.
With the other members of TVXQ, JaeJoong has appeared in programs such as Banjun Drama and Vacation. However, JaeJoong's first big acting gig has yet to be aired. He stars in an episode of the Japanese-Korean joint television drama Telecinema, in episode "Heaven's Postman", along with actress Han Hyo Joo. Production members have praised JaeJoong for his acting in Telecinema.

Trivia
- Kpop group: TVXQ
- Official group debut: 2003-Dec-26 at the BoA and Britney Spears Showcase (TVXQ)
- In September 2005, Hero ruptured his cartilage in his knee while rehearsing dance steps for "Rising Sun".
- In April 2006, Hero was pulled over in his father's friend's BMW on his way home from the Renaissance Hotels. He was ordered to take a breath test and his level of alcohol was revealed to be 0.071%. Due to violating traffic laws, Hero was temporarily suspended from all TVXQ activities and had his license taken away for 100 days.
- In November 2006, JaeJoong's birth father stepped forward and filed a lawsuit against Hero's guardians. He claimed that Hero's legal guardians had not gone through the proper procedures for registering to be Hero's guardians. However, Han dropped all charges for he did not expect his intentions to lead to such a scandal. Hero, in reaction to the matter, expressed that he has since been able to keep in touch with his biological mother but his father had not been seen since. He has expressed that he will live by the name of "Kim JaeJoong" and not by his birth name, but he would do his best to be loyal to all four of his parents.
- In late July 2009, Hero, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment saying that they were under an unfair contract (unfair distribution of income and an excessively long time period). The case is still ongoing.
