Synopsis

Based on the life of Shirasu Jiro, sometimes called "the man who reproached MacArthur." Shirasu was involved in the negotiations with General Douglas MacArthur, who served as the GHQ during the occupation of Japan, and he is said to be the only Japanese person who defied him. While the central theme of the drama is Jiro's interactions with the GHQ, the story will cover his life from adolescence to old age. --Tokyograph
