Are the ratings THAT mixed up?

I can't help but to observe the many edits of this list and in the drama articles themselves. I constantly see numbers being changed, thereby changing the order. Are the numbers THAT inconsistent between sources and editors? Are you people obtaining the numbers from the EXACT same statistical firm? In Japanese entertainment, only one source is used. What can the Korean drama community on DramaWiki do to improve on this? I demand an explanation because this affects DramaWiki as a source of this type of information. IMHO, the numbers being changed like this lowers my confidence level that the numbers in this list are all from one source, and were produced using the same sample size and geographical locations. Once you start posting statistics like these, you must consider 1) the source, 2) the methodology and the consistency of the method, and 3) ALL dramas are factored in obtaining the ranking. • The Episode Ratings are published by TNS Media Korea on a daily basis since 1999. All daily ratings back to January 2005 can be retrieved from the TNS homepage for verification. However, the sources for the older ratings may be unreliable but are given in the link section at the end of the page. All ratings with a given date are national(!) peak ratings for each drama. Some unverified ratings that got added later may be average ratings. Unfortunately Addictus didn't credited his sources. IMHO, the edit by Booze broads and bullets is a mistake because he used the ratings for the Seoul area instead of the national rating. (For dramas Seoul ratings are usually a bit higher than the national ratings.) I reverted this "mistake". --MoerkJ 00:21, 18 Jul 2006 (EDT)
    • Cool! Thanks, MoerkJ! I hope people will see examples like these so that they get a better understanding of exactly why citing the statistics and having everyone use the same source is so important. Groink 00:35, 18 Jul 2006 (EDT)
