Synopsis
The wise scholar NAN (Zhang Guo Li), who shares the people's worries, has an ongoing mental and verbal battle with a seemingly gentlemanly, but in fact evil and powerful, official Kuen (Wang Gang). He enjoys the battle, which neither, is clearly winning or losing, immensely, With the emperor Cheng Loong's sometimes deliberate, and sometimes unintended sowing of dissension, NAN and KUEN rack their brains restlessly in order to beat each other.
