Synopsis
Rookie judge Kouenji Madoka has been assigned to test "Houshin", an AI system that is said to be capable of generating verdicts identical to those penned by human judges. Madoka's skepticism is triggered when she is assigned the case of an 18-year-old boy who had stabbed and killed his father. "Houshin" determined a "death penalty" before the trial, while Madoka and the other judges struggle with the complexity of the case. The trial later turns into a battle between humans and AI, raising the question on who can really determine the truth behind the case, and the nature of humans who are using the rapidly advancing AI.
