Synopsis
The series tells the love story between Huang Dabao, a combat athlete suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, and Yan Ruyu, a book immortal. With Yan Ruyu's help, Huang Dabao emerges from his trauma, regaining hope for life and embarking on a new journey. However, another evil immortal, Lai Junchen, resurfaces after centuries, tracking down Yan Ruyu and attempting to reunite with her. He plots to steal the Dao De Jing where Yan Ruyu resides. Upon learning of this, Huang Dabao ultimately defeats Lai Junchen and rescues Yan Ruyu.
