Synopsis
One winter day, Ono Makoto, a police officer, discovers a strange young woman standing on a boat in the middle of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park. She has been staring at the water for a long time, dressed in blood-stained clothes. Makoto rushes to her aid, believing she is about to commit suicide. The young woman claims to have amnesia and has no memory of who she is or where she came from. Since she has no place to go, Makoto feels sorry for her and takes her to his parents' house, a tofu shop run by an elderly couple. When asked, Makoto hides the fact that she has amnesia and gives her the name "Koike Shinobu" after the pond. There is mystery surrounding her, followed by sadness and fear as the truth comes to light. What is Shinobu's true identity, and why is there a "cameraman" following her in the shadows?
