Synopsis
Kamishima Michiko (Kimura Yoshino) has been married for 20 years to her husband Shunpei (Hagiwara Masato), successor and head chef of a high-class Japanese restaurant. A full-time housewife and mother of two children, Michiko was enjoying a privileged, peaceful lifestyle. Then one day, a woman calling herself Shunpei’s mistress suddenly appears and informs Michiko that “I’m here to claim your husband.” The mistress, Yahagi Tae (Mizuno Miki), tells Michiko that their relationship has been going on for 6 years, and hands her the divorce paper signed by Shunpei. Furthermore, she reveals the surprising truth that Michiko’s late mother-in-law, her husband’s mother, welcomed their relationship. In addition, it also came to light that her husband’s restaurant was heavily in debt and on the brink of bankruptcy. Faced with a series of circumstances she never imagined, Michiko raises money by getting Tae and Shunpei to buy their marriage license for 60 million yen from her, and decides to rebuild the restaurant as its proprietress…
