Synopsis
Huang Jui Chieh, a successful man with a happy family and a thriving career, faced an unexpected turning point. He was forced to resign from his company and struggled with a mysterious illness that left him on the brink of collapse. After emergency treatment at two hospitals, Ruijie's life hung in the balance, relying on ECMO to survive until a heart transplant could be performed, with a probability of success less than 1 in a million.
Just when all hope seemed lost, a miraculous heart match saves his life. Huang Jui Chieh received an organ donation, but this new lease on life came at a cost. The relationship between his family and loved ones began to fray, and the grueling process of physical and mental rehabilitation left him feeling hopeless and desperate.
As Huang Jui Chieh navigates his second chance at life, he grapples with existential and crushing self-doubt.
